Going to Melaka from Kuala Lumpur

After getting our things, we took the train to KL Sentral, got-off at Hang Tuah station then walked around 5 minutes to Star Line. We took the train to Sri Petaling and got-off at Bukit Jalil Station. From the Station, we crossed the street and turned right. The  temporary bus station was around 5-8 minutes away from the train station. Tickets to Melaka can be bought inside the station while tickets to Singapore can be bought outside. We bought 2 tickets to Transnasional bus company for RM21/pax and waited at platform 12 for the 9:30pm trip. At the back of the station, we found hawker food stalls.

Note: Bukit Jalil Bus Terminal is already closed as of March 01 however Bandar Tasik Selatan Integrated Transport Terminal (BTS ITT) started their operation. It is located next to the existing Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT Station (Star LRT), the Stesen Komuter KTM Bandar Tasik Selatan and Express Rail Link (ERL) KLIA Transit Station.

Going to Melaka

Melaka Sentral Bus Terminal

It took us 2 hours in going to Melaka. The bus stopped at Melaka Sentral, the largest bus transportation terminal in Melaka. It was exactly 11:30pm then, the terminal was already closed and only a few people were there, mostly taxi drivers. When we asked around, we learned that there were no public buses that can take us in going to Melaka town proper at that time. Bus last departure from the station is at 8:30pm. Having no other choice, we took the taxi for RM20.😦 Taxi drivers in Melaka are not using meters, mind you. From Melaka Sentral to town proper, we only traveled for 10 minutes.

thanks chyng!😉 buti ka pa alam mo yung name ng food, sa gutom namin di ko na na-take note. heheheh… so you mean yung overnight sa Zambales would cost around P3500-P4000 including the tent rental and transpo? Last time nagpunta kami dun, Anawangin-Capones-Kamara, P1600 yung boat pero indi kami nag-overnight then P3000 sa Nora’s. Halos 5k ata nagastos namin kasama na transpo at food.😦 Nga pala, i was inspired of your SEA trip… pa-help din next time ha! parang gusto ko ring itry. hehehehe🙂

Most of the google results showed age old information when we searched for “bus to Melaka from KL”. This particular piece of yours’ saved us time and money. Thanks for updated information again!
