After having some unfortunate events in going to Kuala Lumpur from Singapore, things turned out good as we disembarked the bus and rode the train to the city. Armed with the KL train route map, which I downloaded and printed before our trip, it became easier for us to know where and when to get-off the train.From Bukit Jalil, we took the train SRI PETALING and got-off at HANG TUAH interchange then transferred to KL Monorail station (you have to go down, walk for 5 minutes and go up the station). We took the train to Titiwangsa and got-off at Bukit Bintang Station (2 stations away from Hang Tuah). Know what, I was totally impressed of their trains as well as their system. And not only that, passengers queue in waiting for the train and no one dares to enter for they wait the passengers to alight first. That’s what you call DISCIPLINED FOLKS! I wish Filipinos were like them… 🙂

Comfort Inn in Chiangkat, Bukit Bintang
Upon reaching Comfort Inn at around 6:20 in the morning, which I booked on December last year with no down payment at all, I showed my printed reservation copy to the receptionist. He then asked me to pay for the 1 night stay of RM89 plus a deposit of RM20. Since the room will be cleaned and prepared by the housekeeping man, we decided to left our baggage and headed to KLCC to start our tour.
Ticketing counter opens at 9:00 am but long queue starts as early as 6:00 am. We got there at 7:30 am and got a schedule of the skybridge visit (for 1:20pm) at 10:30am. You can hit the Suria KLCC mall while waiting for your schedule, have lunch at the food court that can be found at the third floor, shop, and buy chocolates at Cold Storage that can be found at the Concourse Level, basement. We toured around and witnessed the beauty of the place. You can go to the park outside or just sit on a bench being shaded with the plants and have lots of pictures of yourself with the towers. 🙂
The skybridge visit lasted only for 10 minutes. Bringing of tripods are not allowed but the guides are willing to take some shots of you at the skybridge. Just approach them nicely. 🙂

After our skybridge visit, we traveled to KL Tower by foot for only 15 minutes.We just waited for the free shuttle at the gate to go up to KL tower. You may climb the hill though but we preferred to take the shuttle for we were losing our energy because of the scorching heat of the sun. Going up to the view deck would only cost you RM8 but we didn’t bother to go there. 😀 After spending an hour at KL Menara Tower, we went back to Bukit Bintang for we were soooo hungry and thirsty. 😦
It was really hot then which made us to decide not to follow our itinerary! Masjid Jamek was our next stop but the heat of the sun stopped us. We found ourselves instead at Mcdonalds eating bigmac, chocolate sundae and drinking large coke. That was the most expensive meal we had! Love the coke, it was larger than our large size here. 🙂 Oops…. and the chocolate sundae, the chocolate used was cadburry. 😉

After having that meal and recharging ourselves, we took the train to KL Sentral for we were planning to go to Putrajaya. As we were about to reach KL Sentral, heavy rain poured. Thinking that would not last that long, we patiently waited but it seemed the weather was not going to cooperate with us. Obviously, things were not going well as planned. Since we had no choice, we traveled back to Bukit Bintang and went to Sungei Wang Plaza instead. Hubby demanded to go back to the hotel so that I can get enough rest for I was suffering from cough and I think it gotten worse. Due to exhaustion and fatigue, we automatically fell asleep upon reaching the bed. Thank God I woke up at the right time, around 10pm, not raining anymore!
Hubby and I rushed to Petronas Twin Towers again, for the second time. Since we already knew the way to KLCC by foot from Bukit Bintang, we opted not to take the train. Teehee! Love the place!

Chinatown — Failed XXX
After spending a couple of hours with Petronas, we left for Chinatown not knowing that it closes at 11:30pm. Since there were no trains or buses, walking was our option. On our way to Chinatown, which we didn’t know where, we saw a vendor selling street foods. Of course, hubby tried it!

Having no choice at all, we asked the street cleaners we met on our way to Chinatown. Since the vendor neither understand nor speak English well, we thought the street cleaners can help us only to find out that they cannot converse well too! But one Indian guy tried his best to led us the way to Chinatown. We were able to reach the place with achy feet. What made us feel more awful was that Chinatown was already closed! 😦 Going back to Bukit Bintang was the only thing on our mind that’s why we didn’t mind if the driver did not use his meter and ask us to pay RM10.
Since our Chinatown adventure was a failure, we looked for a place where we can have dinner or should I say midnight snack?! Jalan Alor was 5 minutes away from our hotel and the foods here based on what I heard are quite affordable but good. There are many stores where you can choose wide varieties of foods. Chili crabs according to my fellow pexers shouldn’t be missed. This food street in Malaysia is quite similar with Dampa here in Manila. They will only prepare and cook the food once it is ordered. As soon as you get a table, menu will be handed to you. But the only difference I think was that you have to pay as soon as each food is served. 🙂
